Michael Lazaruk was born and raised in Edmonton, a city he is very proud to call home.
Michael attended the University of Alberta where he completed a Bachelor of Arts (with distinction) majoring in sociology. After graduating he worked in the field of market research where he attained the position Senior Consultant at a distinguished Edmonton-based marketing firm before leaving in search of new challenges.
With a desire to pursue his life-long interest in law, Michael again attended the University of Alberta, this time for law school. He graduated from the Faculty of Law with a Bachelor of Laws degree.
Upon graduation, Michael joined the Edmonton offices of a prominent national law firm where he completed his articles. After being called to the Alberta Bar, he stayed on at the firm as an associate, practicing general litigation with a particular interest in Plaintiff Personal Injury law, Employment law, Insurance litigation, and Commercial litigation.
Wanting to further pursue his passion for Injury Litigation, Michael moved on to begin a practice focused solely on Plaintiff Personal Injury at a highly-regarded Alberta based firm specializing in the area.
With great pride in 2010, Michael opened Lazaruk Law to service clients for a variety of legal needs, with a focus on family law and personal injury law.
During his free time, Michael tries his best to keep up with his two young sons. He has a love/hate relationship with the game of golf, enjoys playing racquetball, and Michael remains a diehard Oiler fan, despite their recent struggles.
Michael has a strong sense of community and a passion for his local roots and brings that same passion and devotion to the work he does for his clients and their legal matters.
